Aeolian Harvest Festival

Event organized by the Terme San Calogero Association, in collaboration with the Slow Food Sicilian Slow Islands community
Location: Pianoconte – Varesana Sotto (100 m past the Madonnina on the left)

A unique opportunity to relive the ancient gestures of harvesting in the rural heart of the Aeolian Islands!
In a wheat field and a specially set-up threshing floor, traditional farming practices will be brought back to life:
hand harvesting, bundling, threshing, and grain tossing.

Tasting of seasoned bread and pasta made from ancient grains grown in the Aeolian Islands.
Musical accompaniment by the Cantori Siciliani.
