| The Archaeological Museum of Salina, situated in Lingua, is one of the sections which is part of the Civic Museum of the island.In its interior are displayed materials from two important archaeological sites, the Bronze Age village of Portella and the Roman baths, in Contrada Barone. It is believed that the imperial baths, already in operation during the first centuries of the Empire, may have been used at a later time until the 16th century, as a factory for salting fish process |
