| The small church , located at Marina Corta , is actually little more than a chapel. It was built in the middle of the 16th century after Barbarossa's attack, in the same area as a pre-existing church consecrated to the Madonna della Neve. It was dedicated to the "anime del purgatorio"- the souls in Purgatory- in honour of the victims of the pirate attack. |
