| According to documents of the Curia the small church dates back to 1558. Externally prevails an architectural style simple and plain, inside there is a unique nave, culminating in a small altar above which there is painting of the eighteenth century of the Madonna and Child. Beside the altar there is the wooden statue recently restored of the Madonna della Catena. Under the sanctuary there is a crypt which in the past was the cemetery of the little village Outside, in front of the Church, there is a wide square with a panoramic view on Salina, Filicudi and Alicudi . |
