From the bus-stop on the Pianoconte-Quattropani road take the narrow asphalt road towards the Cave di Caolino ( kaolin quarries ) which skirts round the plateau of Castellaro. On arriving at the clearing in front of the buildings ( on the right ) you begin to go down to the left on the direction of Timpone Pataso. The track is quite wide, level with the Timpone a little path to the right leads down to an area of fumaroles. ( ref. Nesos - the 15 best walks in the Aeolian Islands )
