| Church of the Addolorata is situated on the Castle Rock of Lipari. In 1699, at the behest of the bishop Ventimiglia, they were put together three small churches of S.Andrea, dell'Itria and the Sette Dolori, giving rise to the present Church of the Addolorata. The original building of 17th has undergone substantial renovations in the 18th , although it still retains part of the decoration fresco and stucco of the 17th , made visible after the last recent restoration works. |
