  • Hidden gem

We recently spent 5 nights at Hotel Ravesi and, in our opinion, would not have wanted to stay anywhere else on Salina. You walk off the main street in Malfa into a small oasis of calm, interrupted only by the charming bells of the church that backs onto the hotel gardens. We had a fantastic deluxe room with a private terrace that was slightly separate from the rest of the hotel, but still only a minute's walk away through the gardens to the pool and restaurant area. Breakfast was simple but delicious (don't miss the homemade cakes) but the highlight had to be the cocktails and complimentary aperitivi available in the evenings. We would happily come back just to continue working our way through the drinks list, they were that good! The infinity pool area was lovely and provided a nice place to relax and unwind with wonderful views over to Stromboli. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, both in organising our transport to and from Catania/Taormina, and in providing recommendations for trips out and restaurants for the evening. All in all, a fabulous hotel for those wanting to get away and relax from the stresses of modern life. It's also perfectly placed for exploring the rest of the island.

  • One of Favorite Hotels! Best hotel of our Italy Trip!

This modest, unassuming hotel in Malfa was one of the most magical, relaxing places we've ever stayed. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We have not stopped talking about when we can return here since we left. The staff was excellent. They helped us in advance arrange pickup at the port and made excellent recommendations for dinner and things to do every time we asked. The staff in the restaurant and bar were awesome as well. And the owner - the owner! She was wonderful, friendly (even though our Italian was horrible), and always seeking to make sure we were taken care of. The restaurant and pool were spectacular. Breakfast, lunch, and canapés were all some of our favorite food in Italy - the drinks in the afternoon were also some of the best we had in Italy. The "light lunch" served by the hotel was stupendous - the eggplant, ricotta, and mint toast was our favorite single dish in all of Italy. Hands down. We were two couples, and we stayed in a junior suite sea view and my friends stayed in a deluxe double sea view room (I believe rooms 13 and 14). We loved each of them - the views were incredible and the rooms very nice. The junior suite had much more space, a nice patio and living room, and large bathroom, while the deluxe double, though a bit small (esp bathroom), had amazing cozy lounge chairs on the deck with truly amazing views and incredible privacy (the hotel staff said they call this the honeymoon room). Stay at this hotel.

  • Honeymoon Bliss

We have just left a three night stay in ravesi with beautiful memories for life. The views, the peaceful setting, the wonderful cocktails / amazing aperitifs made this one of our most memorable stays. Sandwiched between six days in the more overpriced tourist traps of Taormina and Panerea, we cannot wait to return to Salina and most importantly to Ravesi.

  • Didn't want to leave

This hotel was the highlight of our honeymoon road trip. We really wished we had missed out some of the more touristy parts of the trip (San Vito Lo Capo, Taormina) and spent longer here. The village has such a relaxed vibe, the views from the hotel are unreal and don't even get me started on the evening snack buffet during pre-dinner cocktail time... pretty sure they put restrictions in place after my husband stayed. The service was excellent and the room had the most gorgeous view and outside relaxation area out over the bay. They also organised a lovely private speed boat tour for us as well which really finished our honeymoon in style. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
