  • Holiday in wild nature

At the port we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who works for the B&B. He guided us, on a motorbike, to the B&B as a family. Very good the food, from breakfast to dinner. Wild rooms surrounded by nature. Poor cleaning of the room. Beautifull the evenings' organization, the b&b becomes like a little disco. Great staff

  • Fine spot from which to explore Filicudi

With an excellent restaurant and bar, as well as well as a free pickup from the port, this was a good home for us on our stay. A mother and two daughters run the place efficiently and with good humor, in spite of their limited English and our pitiful Italian. A bit of a challenge if you are strictly vegetarian: we found that the one pizza offering through the week always featured fish: "Sempre tuni," as one of the daughter said. But Saturday night is pizza night, with a huge variety of toppings to choose from, as well as a vegetarian calzone that might have been the culinary highlight of our three weeks in and around Sicily. The whole village turns out for this event. Our pleasant room, across the street, had an impressive sea view from a balcony shared with one other room. From there, trails radiate all over the island. One word of caution-- this is a village without streetlights, meaning that you'll feel your way around as in millennia past unless you bring a flashlight. Highly recommended.
