From passion of the Anastasi family for hospitality and good cooking, in the early seventies Petit hotel La Canna was born, an old Aeolian house, restored in the typical Aeolian architecture style, surrounded by nature, harmoniously set in the island’s landscape. Unaffected manner and simply atmosphere lets guests enjoy a relaxing holiday and a feeling of well-being.All rooms, each one unique, are equipped with heating and air conditioning, bathroom with shower, direct telephone, cable TV, safe box, terrace with view to the sea. The hotel has a wide living room; has furthermore an open-air swimming-pool with living bar and solarium, where in the summer breakfast buffet is prepared, ideal place to get suntanned or for a drink with friends in the warm colours of the sunset while enjoying breathtaking view to Aeolian Islands .Hotel cooking is famous for typical Sicilian dishes made with local fish and vegetables from the garden, served in the summer on the restaurant terrace overlooking Baia di Capo Graziano; in winter restaurant service in the little inn next to the fire-place. The wine-cellar is well-provided with many different esteemed Sicilian wines

- A charming hotel with delicious food and unforgettable views
Me and my wife stayed in Filicudi and Hotel La Canna five days. On our earlier travels in Sicily we had visited other Eolian Islands but this was our first time in Filicudi. The island is peaceful and charming and Hotel La Canna is situated uphill from the port, so views from terraces of the rooms are unforgettable. While you sit at your terrace you can see in front of you Stromboli, Panarea, Salina and Lipari and Vulcano. Vincenzo, the hotel keeper, is very friendly, as is the hotel staff. If you need wi-fi, there's one near reception, not in the rooms that are situated in many different levels. We had half-board, dinners are on the upper terrace with tremendous views. The food is mostly seafood and very good. The hotel has also a pool if you want to relax and swim a little without going down the hill. The easiest way to walk to the pebbly beaches is by old muletracks. We also trekked to the top of the Filicudi's volcano, Fossa delle Felci. The path is partly quite steep and there's a lot of erosion, so you should have good shoes and lots of carefulness, if you try that climb. From the top you can see the coast of Sicily (Etna) and Calabria and all the Eolian islands. La Canna Hotel was perfect for us, and we warmly recommend it - and we recommend Filicudi, also. Unforgettable experience.
